Chapter 19

Within a few minutes, the clothes and tree wood were placed inside the wooden box. Then each person carried an empty bag. Then Clark closed the entrance to the box with large wooden branches that he had brought the day before. Elizabeth stood behind Antoine, then pointed behind the wooden structure made of the wood of the box and said.

"Stay still, don't move, do you see that? Why are the turtles back? How are we going to move now?"

“Oh my God,” Alice said, “their numbers have doubled.”

Antoine looked around him and did not find anything that he could throw away to follow those turtles, but when he looked into the water he saw that octopus woman near the shore lifting a huge fish out of the water through her arms. He thought for a while, but Clark’s voice that stood in front of Antoine’s face was a categorical denial.

"Don't even think about getting in the water or accepting her help," Clark said.

Antoine said, “Those turtles will not move unless we move or anything on the sand moves.”

Elizabeth said, "It's a good thing I didn't put the arrow and bow inside the wooden frame."

Elizabeth raised the bow to where the falcons were standing atop the trees a little far away, and then she fired the arrow and hit a falcon. It fell immediately, and fortunately for her, it fell on top of the sand. As soon as it touched the sand, the turtles rushed towards the falcon’s fall. Antoine shouted.

“Now, run into the forest.”

Moments later, the young men had entered between the trees, and the last of them was Antoine, and the sound of that octopus lady’s scream rang out. The young men walked between the trees, and Clark was the first. The small cats were moving next to them, not trying to attack, just walking as if they were anticipating something, those bats that were hanging. On the branches of trees at night, they are no longer there. The sky is clear, despite the hawks standing on branches high above the trees, motionless, looking at them.

"No one tries to touch the trees," Clark said. "We don't want that hybrid tree to get angry."

Some branches moved out of their way, and Mary said

"I think she hears you and understands you, Clark."

Raymond said to himself in a whisper, “Do I wear glasses or move without knowing which objects are hybrid and which are not?”

Antoine answered him from behind, even though Alice and Tina were walking among them, "Don't wear glasses, Raymond. You won't be able to see what's around you. But rest assured that everything around us is in a state of inactivity and static, except for those cats. And the animals that wake up during the day."

Mark said, “Mary, remind me there that we take papers and pens. I want to record who wakes up during the day and who wakes up at night. Also, while you are looking for a cure for Antoine, try to find out how those cats think.”

Mark said, “I remember one day my grandfather told me that if I fell inside the Curse Island, I would not think about anything except finding the country.”

Alice, "But what is the use of diameter?"

Clark said, "If Mark's father had not cut up the papers in his grandfather's diary, we would have known the answer to this question, Alice."

“This silence is disturbing,” Tina said.

Antoine said, "You're right, they're all waiting for something."

Marie said as she looked at Antoine, “It doesn’t matter what they are waiting for, the important thing is that we get to the laboratory quickly and get out of it before nightfall.”

They walked for a short time until they reached the lake and then moved next to it, and the only living creatures following them were cats. When they reached the waterfalls, Antoine said

“I forgot to bring the large pottery, so we can fill it with water from here.”

Marie said as she walked next to Antoine, “We can take another one, and tomorrow we will bring the empty one so that it can be filled.”

Antoine said as he moved forward to where Clark went after signaling everyone to wait

“Wait close together. I will help Clark push the crock pot until it is full.”

Antoine did not notice that his movement was fast until he reached the clay pot, and Clark was still far from the bridge. Antoine pushed the pot lightly so that it would not break after he said to himself:

“If the speed became faster, then of course my strength also differed.”

After Clark approached Antoine, he told him

“I want to ask you a question between you and me.”

Antoine said, “Tell me here now, they won’t be able to hear us.”

Clark said, "Do you remember that day in the gym when that idiot, Brack, wanted to hit a little boy? What did you do?"

Antoine said with a laugh, “Yes, Brak had a gigantic body like yours, and I am thin and short. Everyone at school or the club was afraid of him, even I was afraid, but I could not bear to see a child who was not more than eight years old hitting like this, so I grabbed the bowling ball and instead of throwing it in its path.” I turned around and threw it with all my might until it hit Barak’s foot and he was hospitalized that day. Why are we talking about that day?”

Clark smiled and said, "Even if you change and turn into a being whose identity we do not know, you will still be the Antoine we love and you will defend us all. I will not kill you, Antoine, even if you attack me."

Antoine was silent for a while, then said, “If I attack one of them, you will kill me. Do not force me to kill myself, for I will not be able to.”

Mark shouted, "Hurry, we have to go!"

Clark returned to the front of the group, and Antoine walked behind the group until they reached the barbed wire. Clark almost moved forward to pass, but Antoine pulled him back, and the force of gravity was strong, so Clark rose from the ground a short distance behind and collided with the tree. They all looked at Antoine, who said while pointing to the light bulbs. Indicator of the arrival of electricity

"What? The electricity is working. Should I let him die?"

Clark got up and approached Antoine, laughing and saying

"Don't let me die from the electricity, but don't kill me by colliding with the trees. Remember to control the strength of your body. It's good that you attracted me and didn't do that to any of them."

Raymond, looking at the tree that Clark collided with, said sarcastically:

"I think the tree is in pain, Clark."

Alice said with a laugh, “Does that octopus want a sister for her, or is she just thinking of a husband?”

Antoine said, “Well, I laughed. I will become the subject of ridicule for you in the coming period.”

Mark said, “Look, the indicator says there is no electricity.”

Clark jumped from between the wires inside before any of them passed again. The indicator indicated that there was electricity, Clark said

“I will go in and disconnect the electricity, and after they pass, I will turn it back on.”

Mark said, "Wait, the power goes out every few minutes and then comes back on for a minute and then goes out again. Look."

Antoine said, "Clark, step back a little. The space is empty and we don't have time."

Clark carried Alice, and when the indicator went off, he threw Alice through the barbed wire opening, but not forcefully, so she fell at Clark's feet, Mark said.

“Good, we can take advantage of Antoine’s strength and speed.”

Antoine repeated what he did again with the rest of the group, and Marie remained next to him until it was her turn and said:

“Antoine, you can carry me and then jump with me inside.”

Antoine smiled and said, “You are welcome,” but before he could carry her, a girl rushed from behind, picked up Marie, jumped with her, and while carrying her, ran into the laboratory, and Antoine followed them. As soon as he entered the laboratory, he found the girl placing Marie near a chair in front of the computer screen, so he said

" Who are you? "

“Wait until your friends come,” the girl said as she moved and sat next to Mary.

Moments later, the rest of the young men entered the laboratory door, and as they approached, Alice said:

“Is it the octopus that injected you, Antoine?”

The girl said, "Yes, my name is Sardar. I am from Emerald Island, which is close to this cursed island. The inhabitants of my island threw me to this island as a sacrifice so that the anaconda would not come out and hunt their boys."

Antoine said angrily, “Why are you attacking me?”

Serdar said, “So that I do not remain alone here, then they will all be eaten or become part of the island, and I loved you, so I preferred to make you like me rather than kill you and feed the anaconda your flesh.”

"Maybe I'd rather die," Antoine said.

Sardar said, "Try to confront the anaconda at night, and it will kill you if you want to die. And now, goodbye, I will go to the ocean. Do not delay in returning to the beach. The heart of the island is greeted by monsters of darkness."

Mary said as she opened the computer, “What about during the day? Do monsters not attack?”

"I'll let you find out for yourself," Sardar said.

Serdar left the laboratory and Antoine sat next to Marie with anger showing on his face. Raymond said, “There is something positive, Antoine after that girl appeared. You will not forget your past, and you will also be able to control your mind, and since you will become a sea creature, you can escape from here and go home.” "

Antoine said, “If that is true, why did she not return to her island? Why is she still here on that island alone? Think, Raymond, about the reason for her appearing and speaking to us.”

Clark said, "We will not think now. Mary, search the recording we saw for a cure. Raymond, search for maps that reveal the designs of the laboratory. The rest, hurry up and take everything we can spare, and no one will go up to the second floor or take the elevator to the lower floors."

Everyone dispersed, and Mary started turning on the computer, and the events recorded quickly until they reached the scene of the octopus holding the doctor, Antoine said.

“Look, that octopus is not Serdar, it is another girl.”

Marie said, “Look at the recording date, Antoine. These events were recorded thirty years ago, that is before you were born. They are not the same octopus.”

Antoine said, "This means two things. First, this girl is a liar, Sardar, and she is not from any other island. She is a hybrid who was created inside the embryo chamber here in the laboratory, and this is the most likely possibility. Or she is honest and was converted from another hybrid. And if so, then where is the other hybrid?" Why do you want to convert me?

Mary said, “First we see what happened to that doctor, then we search in the records or papers here for the characteristics of the hybrid octopus.”

Antoine approached next to Marie, who quickly recorded the recording until they injected the infected doctor with a serum that slowed down the transformation process. Then she leaned her back on the seat after placing some papers and pens in front of her.

The doctors were able to save that doctor from the hands of the hybrid octopus, then they took the doctor to a room equipped for all first aid. One of the doctors approached, whose face was not visible through the cameras, then the doctor injected the injured person with some serum into his neck and said in English:

“Joseph, leave those cameras now and bring me the hybrid embryo with the mosquitoes. I want twenty of them now.”

Doctor Youssef placed the camera fixed on top of the table and was absent for a while. Meanwhile, the treating doctor moved after he tied the injured doctor’s bandages to a long table that he had taken out from the wall, and he said:

"Rivian, David, empty the drawers of this row of the refrigerator. I don't want anybody in there."

One of the doctors said, “Okay, Vladimir. Is it better to separate that drawer from the refrigerator, or can Doctor Raphael be placed inside the glass tray?”

There was a short silence, and then Vladimir said, “The glass mold is better. Help me tie his hand with the ropes, and you, David, tie his foot. Then we put the lift through the ropes in his hand and lower him into the glass mold.”

Doctor Youssef returned carrying a wooden box and trying to control it so that it would not open. Then he approached the glass mold in which the injured doctor was placed after his outer clothing had been removed and the mold was closed from the top. Meanwhile, the injured doctor was getting up and refusing what they were trying to do. Doctor Vladimir took The box, opened part of the glass mold from the bottom pushed the box inside, removed the l

id of the box, and closed the glass mold quickly.

Many mosquitoes came out, their size was the size of the palm of one hand and their color was black. They quickly headed to the body of the suspended doctor and stuck to him. Then their color changed like the color of the doctor’s skin. After a few minutes of the doctor’s body shaking violently and

his continuous screaming, silence prevailed for a few moments and it became the body of the doctor who had been Fat, he became so thin that the skin stuck to the bone.
